RTE viewers left disagreeing over Liam Brady's 'hitlist' after Liverpool lose to Real Madrid

RTE viewers had mixed feelings about Liam Brady's 'hitlist' after Liverpool's 5-2 loss to Real Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp's side were in dreamland with a 2-0 head start with goals from Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah in the opening 15 minutes.

But Real Madrid would go on to score five unanswered goals in a dominant performance.

Brady appeared on RTE as he listed several problems for Liverpool's recent decline.

Speaking on RTE, he said: " I don't think (Virgil) van Dijk has ever recovered from that injury properly, I don't think he's recovered.

"Trent Alexander (Arnold), Klopp hasn't got a grip of his defending. It has been so obvious over the last two years.

"Thiago wasn't the answer in midfield. They brought him in when Wijnaldum went but he hasn't replaced Wijnaldum.

"Mane leaving was a big miss as well. You put all them things and I think that is where the bubble has burst".

And presenter Darragh Maloney joked that Brady had a hitlist as he continued to name Liverpool's problems.

"I have a hitlist," Brady agreed and also pointed out Mo Salah's drawn-out contract negotiations as a possible problem for the side.

And RTE viewers had mixed feelings about Brady's long list of problems.

One social media user wrote: "Liam Brady saying Thiago wasn’t the fix to replace Wijnaldum is a mad shout!"

While another countered: "He's not wrong"

Some users were not happy with Brady's take that van Dijk has never fully recovered from his injury.

"Liam Brady saying Van Dijk has not recovered since Pickford injured him, For God's sake," said a user.

But another disagreed, saying: "He hasn’t really been the same - prior to that injury, so he’s kind of right"
