"So I did a scrub and dye job, and I think they look pretty good.
"Unfortunately my nails are now wrecked and I can't remove the dye from my hands.
"I'll wear gloves next time. #diyshoerepair."
Maura recently opened up to RSVP Magazine about her strong bond with her Today Show co-host Dáithí Ó Sé.
"When you put two people together, it may or may not work. I might sound a bit biased, but I think Daithi and I clicked from the get-go," she said.
"We are similar in ways, yet different in others. We have a similar humour – Daithi can react very fast off the cuff and we are both self-deprecating, and neither of us hold back with having a bit of a go at each other.
"The audience loves that banter! There have been times when we almost forget we are on air and the producers have to tell us to move on!"
"If we have differences of opinion on air, sometimes we're still talking about it when the credits are rolling, neither of us are shrinking violets.
"We're both passionate and opinionated people who are not afraid to have our say."
Dáithí recently shared his own money-saving tip as he said he was inspired to switch energy providers after money-saving expert Conor Pope appeared on the Late Late Show.
He took to Twitter to thank Conor for his advice after he saved over €450 by making the simple switch.
