RTE presenter Dáithí O'Sé is bringing an old 1800s cottage back to life in his adopted village of Gort in Co Galway, RSVP reports.
The Kerry native and Rose of Tralee host lives in the area with his wife and former rose Rita as well as their eight-year-old son Ogie.
Daithi is getting hands on with the project to transform the old cottage which had briars and shrubs for insulation into a modern home. He recorded himself on site walking through the cottage, revealing ideas for skylights and new life.

Along with a team, they removed the roof and the old style "insulation" to make way for a new roof complete with sky lights.
The one-bedroom house in Gort still holds its original detail and stonework, including fireplaces, which Dáithí plans to preserve as part of the intensive renovation.
The Today Show presenter said: "So guys here I am on Boland's Lane. This house was full of life back in the 1800's and the plan is to bring it back to life again.
"Nobody has lived in here, I would imagine, since the 40's or 50's. So there you have it. Look at it there.
"The old fireplace is there. It is beautiful. Lovely detail, all the lovely stonework."
Dáithí gave fans a look inside the cottage on his Instagram account and he explained what work needed to be done to make it liveable once again.
The RTÉ star said: "Look at the roof, you can see it there. Look at the insulation they had back in the 40's, all bits of briars and trees.
"So we are going to take all of that down, we are going to have two lovely skylights there.
"Over there we are going to have the kitchen. You can see the holes in the wall, there was a beautiful mezzanine there over a hundred years ago."
Dáithí and the lads didn't hang around yesterday and they had the roof completely off the house by the afternoon.
The father of one was very hands on and he got stuck in by controlling a digger outside the house.
