RTE News broadcaster Caitriona Perry has welcomed the arrival of baby boy with her husband.
The Six One Host, 41, who already has one daughter, shared the happy news on her Instagram on Tuesday.
The mother-of-two thanked the doctors and midwives who helped her deliver her baby as she announced she would be taking maternity leave.
Caitriona announced the wonderful news alongside a picture of some congratulations cards welcoming the new baby.

She wrote: “Some #goodnews …Delighted to announce the arrival of a beautiful baby boy.
“Thanks to the wonderful doctors and midwives for ensuring his safe arrival.
On #matleave now but will be #backsoon #rtenews #sixone Thanks for all the well wishes and queries."
People took to the comments to wish her congratulations at the arrival of her newest family member.
RTE 2fm’s Doireann Garrihy said: “Huge congratulations Caitriona”.
Primetime host Miriam O’Callaghan wrote: “Wonderful news - congratulations Caitriona to you all”.
Actress Jenny Dixon, who Kerri-Ann in Fair City, wrote: "Super congratulations"
Maia Dunphy said: "Oh Caitriona! What lovely news! Congratulations to you all."
In April this year, Caitriona said “keen-eyed” viewers had spotted her with a baby bump on TV and sent her early well wishes.
This led to her making a pregnancy announcement, despite rarely sharing about her personal life on social media.
The RTE star shared a beautiful picture of multi-coloured flowers as she wrote: “Just want to say a quick thank you to the many keen-eyed @rtenews viewers who have been in touch with good wishes. Well spotted! I am indeed expecting some more news of my own later this year."
This is the journalist’s second child after she welcomed a little girl in 2019. Caitriona is usually extremely private about her personal life and hasn't even shared her husband's name publicly.
The ex-Washington Correspondent returned to Ireland back in 2018 and has held her post on the Six One News since then.
