RTE Liveline listeners hear bride's plea to find wedding dress missing at Dublin Airport

A bride getting married next week has appealed for help in finding a suitcase missing at Dublin Airport with her wedding dress in it.

Jennifer Walsh told RTE Liveline that her dress was made in Seoul, where she lives.

Jennifer flew from Seoul to Amsterdam to Dublin on May 11 - but she never received her checked-in luggage when she touched down in Ireland.

She explained to Joe on today's show: "They told me that it missed the flight to Amsterdam and then from Amsterdam to Dublin, it didn't get on that, it got on the next flight.

"I've had three days where I've just gone and checked Dublin Airport.

"I have checked the baggage claim area. My sister and my mom were coming back through the airport one time and they checked for me as well. They still can't find it."

Jennifer said there are hundreds of bags stacked in the reclaim area in Dublin Airport but she has not been able to find hers.

"What you do is you go the departures area and across from where people check in, there's a desk there and you have to stand there and wait," she said.

"Some people have been going there for three or four weeks consecutively to check for their luggage because they have so much lost luggage there.

"You go there and wait for somebody to come and let you down to check the baggage claim area."

She described the luggage as a purple bag with a cup holder on the top and cat paw stickers.

The wedding is due to take place on June 18 and Jennifer said it is now time for a back-up plan.

"At this stage I have worried and stressed so much over it that now we need to think of a back-up plan," she said.

"The wedding is too soon.

"Last year we had our Korean wedding in Korea and I had a hombuck, a traditional Korean dress.

"It looks fancier than any white dress so my husband is going to bring that over with him. He's arriving on the 15th."
