RTE Late Late Show viewers didn't hold back after noticing an awkward comment by Ryan Tubridy on last night's show.
Friday night's Eurosong special saw Brooke Scullion and her song 'That's Rich' announced as Ireland 2022 representative in the Eurovision Song Contest.
However many were left sceptical by host Tubridy's attempts to fit in with the slightly younger audience for the special.
In particular, an awkward comment referencing the social media app TikTok left many questioning how much he actually knew about it.
One viewer wrote: "Italy showcasing all its amazing music on their national final tonight, we have Ryan Tubridy pretending to know what TikTok is."
While a second added: "Ryan Tubridy is referring to the tiktoks. Oh, you know you're too old for that Ryan. Not as old as song 4 maybe, but old."
And a third wrote: "Has Ryan Tubridy ever used TikTok?"
Elsewhere viewers were also left fuming with the format of the show on a controversial night in RTE studios.
The in-studio judges were less than impressed with Brooke's performance, awarding her four points out of the possible twelve.
But many viewers criticised them for being "out of touch", as the public helped Brooke claim the top prize after giving her the highest possible mark of 12 points.
People took to Twitter to express their delight at Brooke's winning performance and criticised the judges.
One viewer said: "Jaysus the studio panel were WAYYYYYYYYY off the mark...."
While a second said: "They gave her the second lowest score then congratulate her".
And a third commented: "Yep, good on her... obvious one, but the jury?!?"
Although the judges may have given Brooke a low score, the public and the international jury thoroughly enjoyed her performance and will look forward to seeing her live on stage later this year.
Speaking about her song That's Rich, Brooke told RTE: "I was reading Debbie Harry's autobiography and wanted to encapsulate the attitude she portrayed in her life."
The Derry singer added: "It's surreal to think I could be representing my country in the competition, it would be an honour. Given Ireland's history with a fellow Derry girl like Dana who has done it before, I'm excited to be flying the flag and hope to do everybody proud! I also think in recent years I've been so impressed with the music Eurovision has produced, so am excited to be in the company of the likes of Maneskin and Loreen who are iconic!"
