RTE Late Late Show guests include Paul Mescal, Emily Watson, and Jamie Oliver

This week's Late Late Show line up has been announced and it is set to be a jam-packed show.

In light of Ireland's latest success at the BAFTA's and Oscar nominations, actors Paul Mescal and Emily Watson will be chatting to Ryan about awards season as well as their upcoming movie God's Creatures. Mescal will also talk about speaking in Irish in a viral interview which has made him a poster boy for the Irish language.

The movie talk won't stop there as Ryan will be joined by Oscar winning animator Richie Baneham as he discusses his second Oscar nomination for Avatar: The Way of Water. He will also tell the audience about what it has been like returning to his native Tallaght and what it's like working with James Cameron.

Hit RTE series Smother has recently returned to our screens for season three and three of the lead actors from the show will be joining Ryan this Friday night. Fionnula Flanagan, Gemma-Leah Devereaux and Dean Fagan will be discussing all things Smother as well as their lives outside of the show.

Chef Jamie Oliver will be on to talk about his career and his love for cooking as well as his new Dublin venture Chequer Lane. And survivors from the popular 1960's drug Thalidomide will speak about their experiences and why they want an apology from the state.

The drug was meant to help pregnant women who suffered badly from morning sickness, however it was later discovered that it was causing serious injuries to babies in the womb. This caused these babies to have health issues for the rest of their lives and these survivors are going to speak about their stories.

For music there will be performances from Westmeath's The Academy and folk band The Mary Wallopers. The Late Late Show will be on RTE One this Friday at 9:35pm.
