The band was first formed in 1997 and grew in popularity thanks to charting songs like C'est La Vie in 1998.
Originally from Dublin, the group, which consists of Sinead O' Carroll, twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch and Lindsay Amou, has a massive following in Ireland and the UK.
The girl group announced a new single titled Birthday for this Friday (March 10).
Taking to Twitter, the Late Late tweeted: “Would you like to be in the #LateLate audience THIS FRIDAY?”
“B*Witched are playing LIVE in studio and we want you to join them.”
“We’re looking for Super Fans, costumes or just your best B*Witched story.
DM us and you could be picked to be in the audience this Friday night!”
The exciting announcement for new music was revealed on the Official B*Witched Twitter account where it was announced: "What better day to announce we have a new single out Friday we are so excited for you guys to hear it… #internationalwomensday #bwitched #birthday."
The news was announced on International Women's Day 2023, something the group drew attention to by using the hasthag.
Fans reacted with delight as B*Witched announces new music after almost 10 years.
Many fans took to social media to express their excitement at the news with one writing: "OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!"
Another said: "Can't wait to download it. Have waited so long for new B*Witched music! #Birthday" while another added: "YESSSS!!!!!! Can’t wait #Birthday."
One user was eager to know if the group would be doing a new tour, saying: "Can’t wait! Are we getting a UK & Ireland Arena tour too?"
Despite selling over 3 million albums, the group were dropped by their record company in 2002.
Edele told the Sun: “It’s indicative of how the industry was. We were dropped after selling an unbelievable amount of records that are really difficult to sell now. People don’t sell a tenth of it and still have hits and careers. But it’s just how it was.”
Over decade later, B*Witched reunited as part of the the ITV2 reality-documentary series The Big Reunion.
The show followed six groups, including Five, Atomic Kitten and Liberty X as they rehearsed for a comeback performance at the Hammersmith Apollo on 26 February 2013.
If you are a B*witched superfan and want to be in with a chance to appear in the audience of Friday’s Late Late show, you can DM the Late Late show on Twitter, here.
