One of RTE's most popular shows made a return for 2022 on Tuesday evening, as the hunt for Ireland's Home of the Year got off to a superb start.
The competition has 21 entrants this year, with the first three being brought to us in Tuesday's season premiere.
They were:
- A terraced property in Dublin
- A stunning new-build in Kerry
- A refurbished cottage in Longford
And viewers who tuned in were just as impressed as judges Hugh Wallace, Amanda Bone and, new addition, interior designer Sara Cosgrove.
The house in the Kingdom stood out, with one room in particular wowing everyone.
Tony and Imogen McManus had been based in Los Angeles before returning back to Ireland for what was meant to be a six month holiday.
They didn't want to go back - so brought a few of the aspects of their LA home to Kerry.
The highlight of the property, which included three bedrooms, a walk-in wardrobe and a stunning garden, was a movie theatre complete with bar and popcorn maker.
"A CINEMA! All I want is an island with a wine fridge" laughed one user.
A second added "Wow okay dream house".
The judges agreed.
Sara said: This to me feels like a Hollywood set.” while Hugh believed that he was "a movie star,”
“I think the Hollywood Hills has come to Kerry,”
Overall, the judges give the residence 26.
While others were just delighted to have the fan favourite show back, saying "Home Of The Year is back and honestly I could not be happier" and another adding "Envy night: Home of the Year is back!"
