RTE First Dates viewers left 'gutted' as couple part ways after 'typically Irish date'

RTE First Dates viewers were all left saying the same thing after Thursday night's show.

Viewers fell in love with farmers John and Naomi as the two seemed to really hit it off on their date.

They took to talking about their mutual interests of farming like a duck to water, and the conversation seemed to flow from there.

John said: "I went to New Zealand for a while, like, d'you know. Myself and some of the friends went out driving tractors."

To which Naomi replied: "Wow!"

John then continued: "We're mad for driving tractors down our side, you know and silage. Mad for grass, ha."

However, things were not meant to be as people were left devastated after what seemed to be a match made in heaven ended with the two going their separate ways.

People took to Twitter to show their support for the couple, saying: "The 2 who love farming are so nervous! I hope their parents *do* know each other and invite them round for tae".

After Naomi decided there was no romantic connection, people were left heartbroken for John.

One person said: "Anyone else gutted???"

While a second said: "W** just happened, She said no?

"Poor guy".

"He's everything I want in a dream man", but no, Irish women are mad", commented a third.

Others couldn't get over the whole Irishness of the match.

They said: "A lot of candles lighting for me today…" said every Irish person ever".

A second said: "Alot of land talk going on".

While a third said: "a mention of tractors and it's 'wow!'"
