RTE Claire Byrne Live viewers had some strong opinions after Monday night’s programme as the show hosted a panel discussion on the Hollywood drama at the Oscars that saw Will Smith smack Chris Rock across the face.
During Sunday evening's 94th Academy Awards, Chris made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head, which is cut short as she suffers from alopecia.
Will was then filmed walking onto the stage, approaching the comedian, and slapping him across the face.
The panel discussion on Claire Byrne consisted of a psychoanalyst and journalist as well as comedian Ardal O'Hanlon, who played Father Dougal McGuire in Father Ted, and who spoke about his experience of being physically attacked as a comedian.
