Top Irish forecaster Joanna Donnelly has been forced to explain herself to Twitter trolls after posting a forecast video with a glass of wine in her hand.
The Met Eireann and RTE expert posted an update on the upcoming heatwave on her Twitter account on Friday with a small glass of wine in her hand.
Donnelly shed some more light on the upcoming weather conditions and explained just why it will be so warm.

But some people were fixated on the contents of her glass and the forecaster felt the need to defend herself on social media the following day.
She tweeted: "I’m not a big drinker at all - any of my friends on here that know me - actually know me - will attest to that. Last night I hadn’t had a sip of wine before I made a video. The content of the glass (half a glass) was all I had all night. #gimmeabreak."
Luckily Ms Donnelly will be spreading the good news this week as Ireland is in for heatwave like conditions with temperatures possibly hitting as high as 30C by the weekend - read the forecast here.
