Rs 10 lakh fine for illegal use of GNIDA logo

GREATER NOIDA: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has issued a notice warning against illegal use of the authority’s logo to promote products or projects.

Any companies or builders found using the GNIDA logo without permission will be fined ₹10 lakh followed by a cancellation lease deed.

“The authority has decided to impose a fine of ₹10 lakh on the companies that will use unauthorised application of the logo for the promotion of their products, projects or units. Also, cancellation of the lease deed along and map of allotted plots will be done if we find any violation of this rule,” Santosh Kumar, officer on special duty (OSD) builder cell GNIDA, said. The move comes after complaints against some companies found using the GNIDA logo without permission in their publicity to win the trust of the investors, said the official.
