NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Royals' return to Sawai Mansingh Stadium in nearly four years didn't turn out as expected as a spirited Lucknow Super Giants pulled off an impressive 10-run win in a low scoring IPL contest in Jaipur.
The win was Lucknow's fourth of the season and it also broke Rajasthan's three-match winning streak. However, even after the defeat, Rajasthan still are at the top spot on the points table but are ahead of Lucknow only on net run rate.
Pacer Avesh Khan and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis produced top class efforts with the ball as LSG successfully defended a par score of 154. The power-packed Royals batting order disappointed in a big manner as they suffered crucial blows at regular intervals, eventually finishing at 144 for six.
