Tributes have come pouring in for The ROyle Family and Emmerdale actor Peter Martin, after his death at the age of 82.
News of the actor's passing was revealed by a fiend on Facebook, whoi share of photo of themselves and peter together and wrote: "My friend, drinking partner, fishing buddy passed away on Wednesday morning, very sad, many of you will know him from TV, RIP Peter Martin, we had some great laughs."
Fans of massively popular BBC sitcom The Royle Family will have very fond memories of Peter for playing Joe, the dead pan next door neighbour of Jim and Barbara, who gave us plenty of TV gold alongside Joe's wife Mary and daughter Cheryl, in a early role for acclaimed actress Jessica Hynes.

Memorable Joe moments including him singing into a Dyson, after late wife Mary's ashes had been hoovered up from Jim and Barbara's living room floor.
Emmerdale fans have also rusheds to honour Peter, with him having played Len Reynolds in the soap from 2001 to 2007.
Hios passing came in the same week that another former Emmerdale star has died, with Dale Meeks dying of heart failure at South Tyneside Hospital in his native South SHields at the weeknd.
Reacting to both of the actor' deaths, one upset Emmerdale fan took to Twitter to post: "My heart is heavy - Dale Meeks and Peter Martin both passing this week. Such talented, generous and lovely men. They created hugely memorable and wonderful characters on #Emmerdale. Sincere condolences to family and friends."
A seconds responded: "So great, funny and full of warmth."
