Royal wallpaper supplier Sanderson Design warned that its profits will slump by more than half this year after hopes of a pick-up in trading were dashed by a “challenging consumer and industry environment.”
The luxury furnishing supplier, which was awarded a royal warrant by King Charles last month a century after its first such recognition in 1924, said underlying pre-tax profits for the 12 months to end January will only be “in the region of £4.0 million to £4.8 million” compared with £12.2 million previously and market expectations of around £7.5 million.
