Royal Mail hit by cyber attack causing 'severe disruption' to services

The Royal Mail has revealed that it suffered a cyber incident which has led to 'severe service disruption' to services.

In a statement, the postal service said that it was temporarily unable to despatch export items - inclusive of letters and parcels to international shores.

Customers have now been told to refrain from posting items internationally, while they work to resolve the problem.
