People using Royal Mail are being warned that they need to use up old-style stamps to avoid potential extra charges. New stamps, which feature a barcode, are now commonplace.
Royal Mail had originally said that the ones they replaced would need to be used by the end of January, or swapped for new ones using a "Stamp Swap Out" form. However, it later added another six months for customers to make use of the old stamps, extending the deadline to July 31, reports the Liverpool ECHO.
With that date now drawing nearer, people are being reminded that old-style stamps without barcodes need to be used or swapped soon. Customers have been sent leaflets in the post to remind them of the new deadline.
