Royal fans amazed by Prince George's height - and he could become tallest King ever

Royal fans have been left amazed by the height of Prince George - and he could become the tallest King ever.

The Royal Family were out in full force on Sunday as they wished the public a 'Happy Easter' from St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Easter Mattins Service alongside their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - and royal fans couldn't believe how tall George has grown.

The family-of-five sported coordinated blue outfits, with Kate wearing an electric blue Catherine Walker coat and a matching pill-box hat by Lock & Co.

William and George were in navy suits, while Charlotte wore a blue polka-dot dress. Louis, attending the service for the first time, wore a suit jacket and light blue shorts.

However George, now nine, stole the show as many commented in disbelief about how tall he has grown.

The young boy, who will turn 10 this July, looks to have inherited his parents' height, with his dad William, 40, standing at 6ft 3in while Kate, 41, is 5ft 9in, OK reports.

Taking to social media, fans expressed their shock at George's height, with one person writing: "George has gotten so tall!! All three have. But I can't believe he's going to be ten!!"

A second said: "Prince George is a tall, solid looking lad which is what the Spencers were! Definitely a similarity to Prince George! Diana’s brother & in particular her father."

"Prince George is going to be a tall man!" a third fan wrote. A fourth added: "Prince George is getting SO tall!! He's nine years old!"

Given the height that Prince George has inherited, it can be said with a great deal of certainty that he will be very tall as he grows up. But will he be the tallest king in British history?

The tallest king on record is currently Edward IV. Henry VIII’s grandfather measured in at 6ft 4 ½ and his record remains unbroken.

While Prince William will just miss out on the chance to claim the title of the tallest king in history, Prince George could be in with a chance.

Standing at just 5ft 3, the late Queen was often towered over by members of her family and the people she met.

Her own husband, the late Duke of Edinburgh, stood at an impressive 6ft tall and her eldest son, King Charles, is 5ft 10.

King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort led the Royal arrivals in bright sunshine at Windsor Castle on Sunday, with the pair looking in great spirits as they warmly acknowledged the waiting crowds.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh arrived with their son James, Earl of Wessex, and Princess Beatrice and her husband, Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi, also attended the service, along with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Zara and Mike Tindall and their two daughters, Mia and Lena, arrived along with Peter Phillips, and Prince Andrew was also in attendance, and he was spotted walking with the Princess Royal, a few steps behind his brother, King Charles.

It was likely to have been a moving moment for the family, with the 15th-century chapel being the late Queen's final resting place and the Easter Sunday service the first to take place since her death.

Elizabeth II is buried in the church's tiny King George VI Memorial Chapel, alongside Prince Philip, the late Duke of Edinburgh, and her parents, George VI and the Queen Mother, with their four names inscribed on a new black stone slab set in the floor.

Charles, as monarch, has succeeded his mother to become the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

In less than a month's time, he will be crowned alongside Camilla in a religious service in Westminster Abbey.
