Prince Louis' antics on the balcony during the recent Platinum Jubilee celebrations and Kate's subsequent reaction certainly got everybody talking. The interaction between mother and son showed that, although the Cambridges are part of The Firm, they face plenty of the challenges that other parents experience when it comes to disciplining their children.
Deciding how to discipline your children and establishing rules for them can both be very hard tasks. But Kate and William have been successful in implementing one non-negotiable rule within their household: no shouting.
If George, Charlotte or Louis break this rule, then consequences are faced. A source told The Sun of this rule: "Shouting is absolutely ‘off limits’ for the children and any hint of shouting at each other is dealt with by removal."

When the Cambridge children are removed from the situation to be disciplined, they are not put on the naughty step like many children are. Instead, Kate and William have established a 'chat sofa' within their Kensington Palace home.
The insider explained: "There’s no ’naughty step’ but there is a ‘chat sofa’. Things are explained and consequences outlined and they never shout at them.
"It is a military operation but you would never guess it because they work ferociously hard on their children’s upbringing and making it seem relaxed and happy for the three of them. They are very good at listening to the children but being firm.”
When Kate and William are away performing royal duties, the children's nanny, Maia Borrallo, steps in. This summer, the family is set to move away from London to Berkshire, to be closer to the Queen.
Despite the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wanting to move to be closer to Her Majesty, their three children are said to be at the centre of their decision to up sticks. The family will be moving to Adelaide Cottage at Windsor, which means they will be living very close to Her Majesty, who now spends most of her time at Windsor Castle.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, a friend said: "The reality is they are quite confined in what they can do in London. The kids can't go into the park and kick a football with friends; their plan is to be there for the next 10 to 15 years, then move to Amner, which is so special to them."
As a result of the move, George and Charlotte will be changing schools, with Prince Louis joining them at their new co-educational private school in Berkshire when he begins his education journey this September. The elder two Cambridge children currently attend Thomas's Battersea Prep School.
