The country refers to the Cambridges by their royal titles. But, of course, behind closed doors they're just a family like any other and during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations we got a glimpse into their lives, with many of us especially enjoying seeing Prince Louis be a bit cheeky to his mum.
Now, royal insiders have given the scoop on what the family calls the little ones at home and also have revealed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte - two of the most famous children on the planet - don't even receive any special treatment at school and are treated just like everyone else. At Thomas' Battersea, the school attended by the oldest two Cambridge children, the little Prince and Princess are not referred to by their royal titles and are just called George and Charlotte Cambridge.
And at home, Prince William has been overheard calling his daughter the name 'Mignonette' which is the French for "small and delicate". Charlotte's mother Kate calls her daughter "Lottie", which we know as she speaking to a royal fan in Ireland a few years ago when it slipped out, MyLondon reports.
It is not a nickname as such, but still fun to think that even Royals have their names shortened. Meanwhile, one of our favourite nicknames to discover is Prince George is apparently referred to as "PG" and "Tips", which of course stands for Prince George.
Prince Louis caught everyone's eye at the Jubilee with his challenging but charming behaviour in the crowd. Royal fans have started calling to him "Boss Baby" as it's clear who's actually in charge in this family.
One Twitter user wrote: “We love you, Prince Louis. Thank you for being the pioneer of real-life boss baby! I’m waiting for the next time we see you again. Xoxo.”
A second tweet said: “BOSS BABY!!! Prince Louis is being a KID!! Let’s put a camera on their kids, see how they behave!!!”
