Royal expert spots Prince Harry's 'resentment' for his brother ahead of Coronation

A royal expert has claimed that Prince Harry holds some 'resentment' towards his brother Prince William, who he thinks "made him the spare" of the family.

The brothers are set to be briefly reunited at the weekend, during their father, King Charles III's coronation on May 6, reports the Mirror.

And to make matters worse, Harry will be travelling to the UK alone, as wife Meghan Markle stays in the States to celebrate their son, Prince Archie's birthday.

According to royal expert Tina Brown, the siblings are now "totally estranged", and it is unlikely that they will talk during the big day, as Harry still feels like the "spare".

She told LBC: "The longer Harry dwells on what happened in his life, the more he feels resentment against William.

"He feels, I think, that William was even more calculated, essentially, in making him the number two, making him the spare, and feel like the spare at all time."

And with the pair barely speaking before their father's big day, it is unlikely that they will reunite any time soon, the expert claims.

Tina adds: "So there's no contact between them, I'm told. I think Charles wants to have some kind of rapprochement.

"But I think it's going to take years... it never happened between George VI and the Duke of Windsor, it just got worse.

"Alienations tend to get worse as time goes by, rather than better".

The expert also believes that the pair will do anything bar speak to one another - apart from the initial acknowledgement.

She said: "I do not think there will be any contact between them [William and Harry] at the Coronation."

Another factor in the lack of communication will be the fact that Harry flies back to his California home on the same day, leaving little time for conversation between him and his family.

Harry will be desperate to get home to celebrate his son's fourth birthday - as one royal source said his trip to the UK will be a "fleeting visit".

The source also said "organisers have been told [that] Harry won't be attending the concert with the rest of the Royal Family, which is a shame as it will be such a spectacular event."

‌According to reports, with less than a week to go until the historic day, organisers are still uncertain of the Duke of Sussex's plans.

They are still reportedly unaware of when Harry will arrive or if he is happy with where he is sitting in the Abbey.
