Manchester United legend Roy Keane has insisted that Erik ten Hag has the chance to use the continuing saga around Cristiano Ronaldo to stamp his authority on the club.
Ronaldo has demanded he be allowed to leave the Red Devils just a year into his second spell at Old Trafford. So far, United chiefs have refused that request, insisting that he must remain for the final 12 months of the contract he signed last summer.
The saga shows no sign of ending, with Ronaldo leaving last week's pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano before the final whistle. Still, United are refusing to budge on their stance, with less than a month remaining of the transfer window.
