Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has challenged Marcus Rashford to maintain his sparkling run of form after scoring his 13th goal of the season during Friday night's 3-1 win over Everton in the third round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.
Rashford claimed the assist for Antony's fourth-minute opener before seeing his low cross at the start of the second half turned into his own net by Everton centre-back Conor Coady, who had earlier brought Frank Lampard's side level. Rashford was a constant threat throughout the encounter, regularly causing problems for Toffees right-back Seamus Coleman.
The England international has been in electric form since returning from the World Cup in Qatar, playing a key role in each of the Reds' last five victories. Now Keane has laid down the gauntlet for Rashford, urging him to continue performing at the same level, insisting that he is on his way to becoming a 'main player' for Erik ten Hag's side.

"The beauty of watching Marcus tonight, this is what I expect from him now," Keane told ITV Sport. "I'm not surprised with what I've seen tonight and hopefully he is becoming one of the main players for Manchester United.
"Can he get them back to competing, to winning trophies? He's taking responsibility, and tonight with two assists and a goal I kind of expect this from Marcus now every week.
"He's playing with confidence, we're seeing for the first and second goals where he's got full-backs in the position one-v-one and he's going to go by you. We can't be too critical of their (Everton's) defending tonight - yes, the first one they could have been a bit more aggressive - but this, tonight, when he gets this ball here (for the second goal), we've got a great view from where we're sitting and we're thinking 'Everton are in trouble here now'. And particularly Seamus Coleman's in trouble.
"Seamus can't do anything about that - even a 20-year-old Seamus Coleman - you can't defend that, he (Rashford) is just a brilliant player. He's just too quick and he's going to decide what he's going to do. That's what the good players do, you can't stop the players who are in top form and Seamus, he's got him on toast there."
