Roy Keane labelled Ian Wright 'childish' as the pair got involved in a good-natured debate during coverage of Liverpool's FA Cup tie against Norwich City at Anfield.
The debate began at the top of the programme as presenter Mark Pougatch opened the show speaking to both pundits about touching the famous 'This Is Anfield' sign hanging above the exit to the tunnel area in the stadium.
But while Wright admitted that he raised his hand and touched the sign as an opposition player visiting Anfield during his Arsenal days, Keane was incredulous and questioned why he did so.
Pougatch first asked Wright if he had touched the sign during his playing days, and Wright gave an honest answer.
"I didnt touch it when we were going out with the guys [for the game] but when you went out for the warm up and you were looking around, you touched it because it is iconic, it's an unbelievable picture, I had to touch it.
"I didn't want them [teammates] to see me because I didn't want it to feel like it was disrespecful, it wasn't disrespectful, it was just that I wanted to touch that sign."
But Keane had an altogether different response.
When asked if he had touched the famous sign, he responded: "No, of course not, no point.
"I think it's OK, it's a tradition for the English players, but not for the opposition players, I'm not sure why you [Wright] touched it, it's silly, it's very childish."
Wright defended his ritual but former Manchester United captain Keane was clearly having none of it.
"It's an unbelievable thing to be able to do," Wright said.
To which Keane replied: "What benefit did you get out of it?"
"I'm one of the people that have touched that - I betthere's a lot of fans here that haven't touched it," Wright replied, before the two held fire and smirked as the conversation moved on.
