Roy Keane has urged Manchester United to sign Declan Rice and Harry Kane in the summer window in a bid to narrow the gap between his former side and Manchester City at the top of the league.
The ex-United captain believes Mason Mount won't improve Erik ten Hag's squad next season despite being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford from Chelsea. The Red Devils finished 14 points behind their city rivals and Keane believes it will be "very, very difficult" to bridge the gap unless they sign a world class striker.
Ten Hag is thought to want two marquee signings in the window when it opens with a number of players linked with a move. Kane's contract at Tottenham ends next season, while Neymar has also been sensationally linked with a move to Old Trafford from PSG after falling out with the club. Keane told Sky after being asked who would challenge Man City for the title next year: "I hope it's United. Obviously depending on the takeover, the usual stuff, recruitment - they have to get a world-class striker.
