Roy Keane was a guest on Tommy Tiernan Show as the hit talk series returned to screens on Saturday night.
Keane, 51, is known for being a notoriously private person but he shared a hilarious anecdote on the show about his first date with his wife, Theresa, that went "very badly".
The former Republic of Ireland captain recalled how he first met Theresa in a club in Nottingham and they later went on a date - that ended after 15 minutes with her slamming the car door.
