Roy Keane has already sent clear Tottenham warning to Chelsea ahead of Premier League clash

Chelsea welcome Tottenham to Stamford Bridge this afternoon as Thomas Tuchel looks to keep up the Blues' fantastic record against their London rivals. Chelsea are looking to extend their unbeaten run against Spurs to 12 games in all competitions.

However, this Tottenham side is arguably the strongest we've seen for some time. Antonio Conte has been backed massively this summer in the transfer market as the former Chelsea boss continues to put his stamp on his squad.

Spurs have brought in six new players in Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Djed Spence, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Clement Lenglet – spending just short of £100million. After finishing fourth last season, Tottenham are now being tipped by many for third-place in the Premier League.

Roy Keane, who has often been brutally critical of Spurs in the past, has been very complimentary regarding the north London club – in what should come as a stern warning to Chelsea ahead of this afternoon's meeting at the Bridge.

When asked on Sky Sports last weekend if Spurs should be treated seriously this season, Keane replied: "Yeah, 100 per cent.

"Put it this way, a couple of years ago, if you thought Spurs were 1-0 down at home it would be tough for them, but we knew they would come back into it. [They've got] strength in depth, outstanding manager, there's lots of belief and confidence. I think Spurs are set up for a fantastic season."

Tuchel, when speaking to the media on Friday, believes Tottenham should be considered as challengers for the Premier League title this season. The German said: "I think that every team Antonio Conte trains is a title contender.

"It's always like this, in every country with every team. They strengthened their squad, they strengthened in their depth, and they have a very demanding coach with an incredible record in domestic titles.

"He will push them to the limit and any team with this kind of quality management, which pushes players to the limit, can over-perform and fight for the top four. And if you fight for the top four, you fight for everything.

"If you're still in the race in March, you're fighting for everything. It's a long way to go and he will never admit it, but for me, an Antonio Conte team fights for everything."
