Roy Keane recently admitted he believes he has no future in management after revealing he doesn't think a club could give him a "really good opportunity" to get back into coaching.
The former Manchester United midfielder has been working for Sky Sports and ITV as a pundit for the past decade, and currently stars alongside the likes of Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards on Super Sunday. This is as well as covering international football and England.
However, the 50-year-old was previously involved in management with Sunderland and Ipswich Town, before being Martin O'Neill's assistant at Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. Keane guided the Black Cats back to the Premier League during the 2006/07 season and helped Ipswich to a mid-table Championship finish.
Reports suggested that Keane could have been in line for a return to coaching with ex-club Sunderland earlier in the season following the dismissal of Lee Johnson. But the Black Cats opted to appoint Alex Neil as their new boss instead as they battle to get out of League One.
Another source has now claimed that Keane is ready to leave his role at Sky Sports as his representatives make his interest in the Hibernian job known. The Scottish side sacked Shaun Maloney recently after he lasted just 120 days and the Scottish club are now seeking an individual with more experience with Keane being lined-up, as per The Sun.
When speaking about his future in an interview with LADBible which was published on April 19, Keane admitted he felt his days in management were done. He said: "I almost feel like them days are over for me now, I don't think I can go back into management.

"I am 50 now, I am doing TV, I am almost a pundit now. I feel like I'm getting my head round it that (punditry) is the role for me because I don't think a club could give me a really good opportunity to get back into it.
"I'm not fearful if someone said you've got to do TV for the new few years, I am fine with that because I do count my blessings. As you know, there are a lot of ex-players looking to get back into it and I am alright with that.
"Micah [Richards], Gary [Neville], and you (Carragher) love the game don't we, we give our opinions and I'm not sure everyone agrees with them. We love the game and hopefully that comes across.
"I enjoy working with different people and it is just their opinion. Micah is a good personality and a decent guy. You just want to work with good people don't you?"
