Roy Keane agrees with Naby Keita 'lucky' claim after tackle for Liverpool vs Manchester United

Graeme Souness and Roy Keane agreed that Liverpool's Naby Keita was 'lucky' to not be sent off during Manchester United's 4-0 defeat at Anfield.

Ralf Rangnick's men were comfortably second best at Anfield with Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and a brace from Mo Salah sealing an easy victory for Jurgen Klopp's side. The defeat meant United missed a chance to close the gap on Tottenham Hotspur and slipped them down to sixth in the Premier League.

Having been introduced into the game late on, Liverpool midfielder Keita was fortunate to not be given his marching orders before the final whistle. After a challenge by Jesse Lingard, the former RB Leipzig man appeared to stamp on the calf of the England international.

Having observed the replays on Sky Sports, Souness declared: "It's a red card all day. I think Keita's got very lucky there.

"Liverpool [have] got lucky. It wouldn't have affected the score but this was a sending off."

Ex- United captain Keane echoed his fellow pundit's comments, adding: "He would have got a suspension. That's a red card."
