Roxy Music are heading to Manchester as part of the iconic band’s first tour together in 11 years. Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera and Paul Thompson will be back together on stage for the first time since their 2011 For Your Pleasure tour.
They will play the AO Arena on October 12, one of just three dates in the UK, with the others being the OVO Hydro Arena in Glasgow on October 10, and the O2 in London on October 14. Tickets will go on sale at 9am on March 31 via Gigs and Tours, though a pre-sale for fans starts on March 29 from 9am, with VIP packages available, via the Roxy Music website.
The tour will mark 50 years since the band’s groundbreaking debut album, the eponymous Roxy Music, released in June 1972. They will also take on a host of dates across the US, including stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Philadelphia and New York, where they’ll play Madison Square Garden.

One of the most iconic art-rock bands of all time, Roxy Music released their debut single Virginia Plain in the summer of 1972, with the original line-up joined by producer and keyboard player Brian Eno.
Eno quit after the release of their second album For Your Pleasure just a year later, due to creative differences with Ferry, who continued to lead the band through albums Stranded in 1973, Country Life in 1974, Siren in 1975, Manifesto in 1979 and Flesh and Blood in 1980, including singles like Love Is The Drug, Dance Away and The Thrill of It All.
Their final album, Avalon, recorded at the legendary Compass Point studios in the Bahamas, and which featured singles like More Than This and the album’s title track, became their most successful to be released in the UK, and sold over a million copies in the US.
