PATNA: Hours after the BJP attacked the Grand Alliance government over "curtailment in Hindu holidays" in the state-runs schools, the RJD headed by Lalu Prasad hit back at the former saying the saffron camp was raising this issue since it doesn’t want the children of the poor to study and get jobs.
They said the education department has taken the steps only with the objective to ensure that the classes are held for at least 220 days in a year in accordance with the Right to Education Act (RTEA) but the BJP doesn’t appear happy with this step.
