Routine test 'saved life' of woman who had no idea she had cancer

A 37-year-old is encouraging all woman to go for regular screenings after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. Abnormal cells were discovered when Tania Taylor was having a routine smear test in January 2021.

Tania, who runs a hypnotherapy business, was given the all clear after doctors were about the remove most of the cancerous cells. Tania is now waiting for a hysterectomy and will need colposcopy screenings every six months to help prevent the cancer returning.

Tania believes the routine smear test saved her life.. Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, she said: “I received my regular routine smear test letter, I’ve never really had any anxiety about it.
