The timings and route for the Queen's coffin to leave Edinburgh on Tuesday has been announced, with 'significant disruption' expected according to police and the council.
Thousands of people lined the Royal Mile in the city centre on Monday as the Queen's coffin procession, along with King Charles III and his siblings travelled from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to St Giles' Cathedral where the Queen will rest for 24 hours before travelling to Edinburgh Airport.
According to Edinburgh Travel News, run by the city council, the Queen's coffin will leave St Giles' Cathedral at 4:30pm on Tuesday, September 13, and travel towards the airport. The route will cover Johnston Terrace, Castle Terrace, Lothian Road, Queensferry Street, Maybury Road and Turnhouse Road.
