Thousands of acres of some of Northumberland's most beautiful landscape has been put up for sale by the son of the Duke of Northumberland.
The 9,500 acre Rothbury Estate has been in the Percy family for around 700 years - but has now been put on the market and branded "the single largest ringfenced carbon offsetting opportunity to come to the open market in England".
The land is currently owned by the Duke's youngest son, Lord Max Percy, and is not part of the core Ducal Estate. The sale is the largest single block of land to come to the market in England in the last 30 years.
