Former Manchester United star Louis Saha believes Ross Stewart could be swayed by a move to Rangers.
The Scotland striker has been heavily linked with the Ibrox club after firing Sunderland back to the Championship with 26 goals for the Black Cats, including a strike in their 2-0 League One play-off final victory over Wycombe Wanderers.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is on the lookout for a new front man, with Alfredo Morelos in the final year of his contract in Govan.
Saha can see why a switch to Glasgow would prove tempting for Stewart, but insists staying in English football’s second tier for now cold prove more beneficial to the ex-Ross County hitman.
“ Ross Stewart is on fire and he knows he's an attractive player for a club like Rangers and I think he could be swayed by a move there,” he told BoyleSports Football Odds.
“I think that staying in the Championship is best because you'll then have that base to show that you can make the step up and I also think that when you want to improve as a player, stability at one club is best so I would suggest that Ross stays at Sunderland next season and waits for a move.”
