Sunderland supporters have selected Ross Stewart as the club’s stand-out performer from the opening 10 matches. The Black Cats have enjoyed an impressive start to the season on their return to the Championship as they sit fifth in the table.
In his first season at this level of football, Stewart scored five goals and provided three assists in seven matches up until sustaining an injury in the warm-up at Middlesbrough earlier this month. As a result of his fine displays so far, Sunderland fans have handed him an 8.5 rating, the highest of anyone in the squad.
It has certainly been a full squad effort in the early stages of the season, though, and that is reflected in the remainder of the ratings. Alex Pritchard ( 8.3 ) and Jack Clarke ( 8.2 ) take second and third place, with Patrick Roberts and Danny Batth not too far behind at 7.9 .

Anthony Patterson, Corry Evans, Lyndon Gooch, Aji Alese, Dennis Cerkin, Dan Neil, Luke O’Nien, Jewison Bennette, Dan Ballard and Ellis Simms all too received ratings over a 7. Elliot Embleton ( 6.9 ), Amad Diallo ( 6.4 ) and Bailey Wright ( 6.3 ) are next on the list.
Jay Matete, Leon Dajaku and Trai Hume are the only players from the squad to receive below a 6, though that is likely down to the limited number of minutes they have played so far. You can check out the full list of results in the widget below.
