Rangers reportedly remain in talks with talented youngster Ross McCausland over a new contract.
It comes amid mounting interest from clubs in some of Europe's top leagues.
The 20-year-old has been a first-team regular under Philippe Clement and has made quite the impression since breaking into the side.
The Northern Ireland winger is believed to have Brentford tracking him, with media reports in Italy suggesting Roma and Atalanta are also monitoring his situation.
He is out of contract next summer, meaning Rangers are up against the clock to ensure they tie him down on a longer deal.
The Daily Record states that negotiations between the club, the player and his representatives are ongoing over a new contract. It's believed Rangers want to keep McCausland at Ibrox until 2027.
If Rangers don't manage to secure his services on a longer contract, then they risk losing him for as little as £350,000 in training compensation.
He came through the academy ranks at Auchenhowie after he joined from Linfield in 2019.
The fans have enjoyed the energy and pace that he's brought to the team in all of the appearances he's made so far.
The youngster was initially drafted into the first team by interim boss Steven Davis after Michael Beale's sacking. Clement opted to keep him in the fold after he was impressed by what he saw in training.
McCausland has enjoyed a milestone couple of weeks as a young player, making his full Rangers debut, starting his first Europa League game as well as his first start for Northern Ireland.
Former captain Barry Ferguson is certainly keen to see the attacker stay put.
He said: "I’d like to think where he’s been given a chance, he’ll put pen to paper, and he’ll commit to a new contract at Rangers.
“He’s been a breath of fresh air, to be honest with you, since he’s come into the team. He’s come off the bench and did really well, got his first start against Livingston.
"I thought he was really good. I’d like to see him stay put, as I said. I always like to see young players come through the system.
