Rose Ayling-Ellis has shared a sweet message to Giovanni Pernice after he heartbreakingly revealed he feels lonely as a single man.
EastEnders star Rose said she misses spending time with Giovanni after the pair worked closely together on Strictly Come Dancing and took home the Glitterball trophy in 2021. Rose, 28, gushed over her friendship with Giovanni, 32, and revealed she wants to work with him again soon on a project.
Rose's comments come days after the Strictly hunk opened up about his love life on his brand-new BBC show, Anton and Giovanni's Adventures. The professional dancer spoke candidly about his desire to start a family and the difficulties of finding a connection with his busy schedule, writes the Mirror.
Giovanni's new BBC travel show sees him return to his homeland with Anton Du Beke as they explore Sicily alongside some very special guests. Rose was the latest star to join the Strictly duo as they embarked on a trip to Mount Etna, which is Europe’s highest and most active volcano.
Giovanni previously admitted that he would love to one day have a family of his own and eventually find true love before making his candid confession. "One day I will cook for my family," Giovanni insisted.
Before his pal Anton replied: "Once you get a family, you will be doing it all the time."
Giovanni then admitted: "My mum always says to me: 'So, Giovanni, what's the situation?' because obviously every time I date a girl, I always tell her and say 'What do you think about this?'
"Bless her, she's seen so many passing by. But initially, she's like: 'Is she the one? You know, I want a baby before I pass way!' It's all the time, constantly, it's funny."
He continued: "Of course I'll have a family one day, you just have to find the right person first. Personally, I am just very focused on my career as you were at my age.
"It does get lonely sometimes, it's a tricky thing between - there's a line, a fine line, between: 'I want to be in a relationship and be with somebody because you get lonely'.
"But at the same time, you want to be free to be able to focus on your career. And also, this industry, quite tricky, as you know, because you always have to be focused."
