Former Miss World Rosanna Davison has opened up about how brave her surrogate is for coming to Ireland – revealing the Ukrainian family have asked for nothing from her since they arrived.
Ukrainian surrogate Anastasiia Berezan – who gave birth to Rosanna and Wes Quirke’s first baby Sophia in 2019 – was forced to flee her home earlier this year from Russian forces.
Rosanna and Wes rushed to help her and offered to look after them if they came to Ireland.

But Rosanna revealed that Anastasiia and her family haven’t asked her for anything since they arrived in Ireland in the early summer.
She said: “A few people said, ‘are they living with you?’
“I said, ‘I wouldn’t put them through the ordeal of living with three toddlers.'
“No, I wanted them to have their own space and independence and that’s what they wanted.
“They don’t speak English, so we’re working on Google translate, which is brilliant.
“Sometimes I have felt a bit overwhelmed with the responsibility of making sure they are settled in.”
Rosanna said she is in awe at how “fearless” they are as a family in a new country.
“They are just so fearless, so hard working, so pragmatic and such an inspiration. To move to a different country, to stay so positive, to be so motivated to go out and get a job and be self-sufficient.
“It blows my mind. They haven’t come and asked me for anything, they really want to make a new life for themselves,” she told Woman’s Way magazine.
Rosanna opened up about how Sophia and her twin boys Oscar and Hugo have brought back the magic in their lives.
“I look at a plane or if a JCB passes by on a walk, it’s the pinnacle of excitement.
“That’s something I didn’t anticipate; I didn’t think all that magic would come back into my life again,” he added.
