Spanish superstar Rosalía has had quite the year. After a three year break from making music, she dropped her latest album, Lux, in November — which sent the internet into an actual frenzy.
Now, she has given the fans what they want— namely, the chance to see her live all over the world. The downside? It looks like she’s only in the UK for one night.
After starting her tour in France, then moving to Spain, Portugal and Switzerland, the artist will be playing London’s O2 stadium on May 5… before leaving for the US, with her next gig in Miami the night after.
In fact, it seems like the only places Rosalía is staying at more than one night are ones in Spanish-speaking countries. There are four nights in Madrid, four in her home town of Barcelona, two in Chile, two in Argentina and four in Brasil.
Basically, tickets for this are going to be like gold dust. While the presale hasn’t opened yet, the O2’s website says the sale opens on Thursday December 11 at 10am UK time: set your watches.
Lux has become one of the biggest album releases of the year, receiving rave reviews from critics. Drawing on musical influences including flamenco, orchestral music, opera and Portuguese soledad, it includes fourteen languages, references to female saints like Hildegard of Bingen and world religions like Islam and Taoism.
