Rory Wilson will be hoping to fire Aston Villa to glory in Thursday's Premier League Cup Final.
The Scotland under-21 star will be a key man for the Midlands outfit's U21s as they go into the clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park. If the on-form striker lands silverware it would cap a dream first season in England for the former Rangers talent. The 17-year-old has netted an impressive 35 goals in all competitions for club and country since he made the move from Ibrox last summer.
Wilson has made a big impression with Villa and finds himself in line for a new contract and has already trained with Unai Emery’s first-team. Wilson will also be a key man for Scotland when the under-17s head to this summer’s European Championship finals in Hungary. The young Scot has made his mark in the youth ranks at Villa and already finds himself playing above his age group with the B-team, having fired 11 goals in his first 11 games for the U18s.
He is yet to make his senior debut though has played against senior opposition in Portsmouth and Wimbledon in the EFL Trophy. A new deal could signify a show of faith from new boss Emery who has Villa on track for a top-10 finish after they flirted with relegation earlier in the season under Steven Gerrard.
