Shane Lowry has revealed that Rory McIlroy offered advice before he took up a new PGA Tour role.
The Offaly native is one of five non-Americans to take up seats on the Players Advisory Council [PAC].
But McIlroy, who is the PAC chairman, told Lowry not to get involved if he felt it would distract him too much and affect his game.
