Rory McIlroy's ex-fiancee has revealed she is expecting her second child with husband David Lee.
Caroline Wozniacki broke the news to her 1.4million Instagram followers over the weekend.
Sharing a photo with her former bastketball player husband and their one-year-old daughter, the ex-tennis player wrote: "Ready for round 2. #familyof4comingsoon."
Former world number one Wozniacki shared the picture from a beach in Monaco as she and her husband held a photo of a baby scan in front of their daughter Olivia.
Wozniacki was engaged to McIlroy in 2014 before they broke up later that year. They had dated from 2011.
"The problem is mine," the golfer said at the time. "The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realise that I wasn't ready for all that marriage entails. I wish Caroline all the happiness she deserves and thank her for the great times we've had."
According to The Times, McIlroy phoned his fiance to inform her of his intentions with a three-minute call that the Dane initially thought was a joke.
Five days later, he went out and won the BMW PGA Championship, but his comments later about the break-up proved the start of a bitter war of words between the estranged pair.
Speaking to the Irish Independent in 2017, he said: "I thought at the time that being with someone that was in a similar position to you was the obvious answer.
"But it isn't, because you can never get away from it. You can never detach yourself and try to come back to the real world."
Wozniacki got engaged to Lee in 2018, with the couple getting married in Tuscany, Italy a year later. She gave birth to the couple's first child in June 2021.
Meanwhile, McIlroy celebrated his fifth wedding anniversary with Erica Stoll in April after tying the knot at Ashford Castle in County Mayo in 2017.
Erica is from New York and previously was a former PGA of America employee.
The pair met for the first time in 2012 when McIlroy was competing at the Ryder Cup in Medinah.
McIlroy was late for his tee time when Erica came to his rescue. As a PGA employee, she was in charge of finding the golfers who had overslept or misjudged the time.
In 2015, McIlroy planned a romantic proposal to Erica in Paris in December.
Many celebrity friends turned up for their wedding, including Niall Horan and Coldplay's Chris Martin.
To top it all off, music legend Stevie Wonder and pop sensation Ed Sheeran also performed at the wedding.
He has described his wife as a ‘great influence’ and a ‘low-key person’ that brings a ‘calming presence’ to his life.
