An angry Rory McIlroy threw a remote controlled golf ball into the water in a bizarre incident at the BMW Championship on Saturday.
McIlroy was lining up a birdie put on the 15th hole at Wilmington Country Club when another golf ball appeared on the green.
As the ball whizzed around the flag stick of its own accord, it became apparent that the ball was being controlled remotely by a spectator declaring "I'm going to make a hole in one".

McIlroy was not amused by the antics though and tried to swat the ball away with his putter before picking it up and throwing it in the water.
The spectator, who shouted "this is my dream" as McIlroy tried to swat the ball away, came to the side of the green, appearing to remonstrate with McIlroy.
But McIlroy's caddy Harry Diamond ordered the spectator away before a local officer escorted him off the premises.
It was a frustrating day on the course for McIlroy who sits five shots off the lead set by Patrick Cantlay heading into the final round.
Starting his round off with two bogeys, McIlroy struggled with his putter in taking 37 strokes to play the front nine.
But four birdies in the space of six holes from the 12th hole had him back in contention only for the two-time FedEx Cup champion to take three putts on the final hole from 17 feet.
Shane Lowry also endured a frustrating third round and sits on five-under-par, two behind McIlroy.
The former Open champion has a lot to play for though as he is currently projected to finish in 34th spot in the FedEx Cup but needs to get into the top 30 to play next week's Tour Championship.
