The Sydney Roosters will sweat on scans of Sam Walker's ankle after their title hopes took a massive hit, with the star half injured in their 26-12 loss to the Dolphins.

On a Saturday night when the Dolphins went third on the ladder and announced themselves as legitimate NRL title contenders at Allianz Stadium, the Roosters fell behind them to fourth.
