Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love finished off another long scoring drive with a pretty-looking touchdown pass to rookie Romeo Doubs in the second quarter of Friday night’s preseason game against the Saints.
On 1st-and-goal, Love threw a quick pass to Doubs, who made the leaping catch over the cornerback’s tight coverage for the score.
Over three series, Love has completed 8-of-12 passes for 86 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. His passer rating is 115.3. Unlike last week, the box score is telling the story of how well Love is playing. He’s dealing.
The drive traveled 80 yards in 11 plays. The Packers now have scoring drives of 10 or more plays (14 plays, 73 yards created a field goal).
Doubs has been up and down but he does have three catches for 24 yards and a score to start the first half. He’s getting open. Now, he just has to consistently finish as well as he did on the score.
