KEMAR ROOFE is not yet training back with his Rangers team-mates as he battles to win a fitness race ahead of the Europa League final.
The Ibrox striker has been missing since the Scottish Cup semi-final win over Celtic at Hampden - with him ruled out for both legs against RB Leipzig.
Roofe is desperate to return to the fold for the Europa League final against Frankfurt next week, but Giovanni van Bronckhorst admits it's touch-and-go whether he'll be incolved.
Speaking this afternoon, Van Bronckhorst explained: "Roofe is not training with the team at the moment but he is doing everything he can to be ready.
"Hopefully he can make some positive steps in the coming days."
Rangers last night defeated Ross County 4-1 in their final home league fixture of the season.
And Van Bronckhorst revealed Ryan Jack is expected to return for the final next week when quizzed at Ibrox following the win.
However, he was also cautious when asked about Roofe, he said: “His progress is that it is going to be a close call. We have to wait and assess him day by day.
“If you compare him and Jack, I think Jack is ahead of him.
“I think Jack will be ready for next week and Kemar, I don’t know.”
