KEMAR ROOFE appears to have dropped a hint he may be back fit to return for Rangers in the Europa League final.
The striker has been sidelined since the extra-time win over Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
But Rangers players, staff and fans alike are desperate for Roofe to win his fitness battle ahead of the final in Seville.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst revealed it'd be a close call on whether Roofe would feature as he explained the striker hadn't trained with the squad on Thursday.
But Roofe's Instagram story sharing custom Europa League final 2022 shinpads has fans excited he could be back to face Eintracht Frankfurt.
The protective gear features images of Roofe and his family as well as the Europa League trophy sandwiched between celebration pictures of the striker.
Speaking earlier this week, Van Bronckhorst said: "Roofe is going to be a close call for the final.
"We have to assess him day by day. Jack is ahead of him, he will be ready for next week and Kemar I still don’t know."
And on Thursday, he added: "Roofe is not training with the team at the moment but he is doing everything he can to be ready.
"Hopefully he can make some positive steps in the coming days."
