Ronan Keating has confessed that he and wife Storm have to work a little harder at times to keep love alive in-between juggling their busy work schedules and the kids.

The Irish singer, 45, says that he is “crazy busy” at the moment in-between gigging, hosting Magic FM’s weekday breakfast show with Harriet Scott and presenting BBC’s The One Show.

It’s then non-stop when he finally gets home to Australian fashion designer wife Storm, 41, and their two children Cooper, five, and Coco, two.

Speaking to the Standard, the Boyzone star explained: “My wife and I are very romantic, we like to be romantic. We always try and make an effort for each other and with each other, whether it’s a birthday or Valentine’s Day, whatever it may be, just getting some time together.

“Sometimes in the madness of it all, we just go we need a break from it all and put the kids to bed early and just chill. Sometimes you need that, it just helps.

“We all - all of us - fill our days with so much stuff when you have children and you’re chasing your tail and you’re working, [then] getting the kids to bed and you’re making dinner or whatever, the last person that’s thought of is each other and you start thinking about that every day now and then, so it’s nice to let each other know that we exist, that we are there for each other and I think we try and do that all of the time.”

He and Storm first met in 2012 while working on The X Factor Australia. The loved-up pair got married in 2015 and welcomed their first child together in 2017 with their second following in 2020. Ronan also has three children from a previous marriage.

Love is something at the forefront of the When You Say Nothing At All hit-maker’s mind as he has recently been appointed as Costa Coffee’s first Director of Love for a new campaign with the hot drinks chain.

As part of it, he has made his onscreen acting debut in a light-hearted short film which he called “a real hoot” to film and if you’re a coffee lover, there are some free caffeine treats up for grabs.

During the clip, one person can be seen quoting Ronan’s own song lyrics at him, something he says isn’t uncommon, especially in one place in particular.

“I think when people stop you in the toilets and they go to shake your hand and I’m like ‘erm, not right now mate!’ That’s the spot, that’s the honest spot,” he laughed.
